Feeling a little down.
Wondering where the line is between trying hard and admitting you can't do it.
(The French Lieutenant's Woman by John Fowles)
So I've been thinking of the books I'd read again.
And maybe I will keep trying.

Are you ok? Sometimes a little (or big) detour will bring us back to where we can have another go. There is nothing wrong with failure so long as we have tried. Cherrie
ReplyDeleteTake care.
ReplyDeleteAnna Karenina is one of my all time favourite novels. I adore it. It sits on our bookshelf next to The Devils by Dostoyevsky (I haven't finished that book yet... started years ago and still not finished - perhaps I should give it another go?!?!) Anyway when my daughter first started to talk she'd point at the picture on the spine of the Devils and say Dadda (sort of similar) and then point to the picture on the spine of Anna Karenia and say Mama ... I was totally stoked :) ... but I don't look anything like the picture regretfully.
Hope you're OK. I always read Pride and Prejudice over and over again.
ReplyDeleteHang in there, kiddo...go read To Kill A Mockingbird. (That's what I'm doing this week...we can have a book club!) Hope your day improves by leaps and bounds!
ReplyDeleteHope you're feeling on the up again :)
ReplyDeleteYou'll have heard this one before "If at first you don't succeed then try & try again.." Or taking a step back to get a different view can sometimes help to bring things into perspective..holidays are great for that!
Favourite reads ~ Like Water for Chocolate, The Curious Incident of the Dog in the Night Time, The Man Who Mistook His Wife for a Hat.
